There are a few basic steps to figuring out which calculator is best for you. First off, the Ti-89 is a more advanced calculator, and with that comes complexity, but the ability to do a little more. So if you are very good with computers or calculators, then we do recommend the Ti-89 version. If you are an average or below average computer or calculator user, however, we recommend the more common and easy to use Ti-83+ calculator. You will be losing very little functionality, but will gain much greater ease of use. There are still 2 options for Ti-83+'s: the regular, and the silver edition. We strongly recommend the silver edition over the regular Ti-83+, as it is 2.5 times faster, has about 9 times the memory, and comes with a GraphLink cable, all for only $5 more.
